POSITION SUMMARY
Our client needs a Co-ordinator who can ensure accurate readings to minimise and ultimately eradicate energy theft. The Co-ordinator Energy Theft is directly responsible for overseeing the distribution network to check for illegal connections and consumption of electricity by consumers, and supervises all disconnections of illegal connections. This role leads to the minimization of energy theft in terms of detection of meter adjustments.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
o To oversee the distribution network to check, minimize and ultimately eradicate theft, dishonest abstraction or Consumption of electricity by consumers.
o To maximise the profitability of the Revenue Protection Unit and lead the Industry in reducing the impact of energy theft.
o Develop a culture where customers are treated fairly and are properly informed.
o Supervises all disconnection of illegal connections and Energy theft.
o Familiarization with the network coverage
o Detection of meter shunting/adjustment
o Ability to coordinate IBC’s theft detection team activities with a view to ensuring that revenue losses are recovered and loss of revenue due to energy theft is minimized. This will involve strategizing, planning, interpreting/understanding analyzed and mined data as well as evaluating performances of IBC teams based on set targets

• 30 Day Milestone
o Drawing up the implementation and monitoring plans that will help teams achieve set targets- Minimum of 20 Visits/audits per team per day.
o Clearly show the achievements attained against target.
• 90 Day Milestone
o Strategize to attain minimum of 60% defaulters response to charges else that that they remain disconnected
QUALIFICATIONS (EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS)Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline. Postgraduate Degree/Masters in Engineering management and relevant professional certifications.         
Experience: more than 7 years increasingly responsible professional (Technical) experience
Competence: Strategic thinking and decision making. Effective networking skills. Stakeholder management abilities. Effective decision making.
