POSITION SUMMARY
Our client needs a Civil Construction Engineer who can coordinate engineering work in designing and constructing of a new project. The Civil Construction Engineer is directly responsible for supervising, directing, and executing construction projects; preparing plans and reviewing them to meet specifications, bids and contracts. This role leads the ensuring projects conform to safety standards and procedures.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
o To supervise, coordinate and/or perform engineering work in the design and construction of new project, expand and augment the network as per the consumer requirement and managing the increasing system load growth.
o Supervise, coordinate, direct and execute projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals.
o Supervises the activities of engineering technicians and engineering aides in the planning, designing, and inspecting of projects.
o Inspects construction projects or directs others performing the inspection of same.
o Supervises the testing of materials, assists the engineer in the preparation of the budget and construction program, schedules, reviews, and evaluates the flow of departmental projects.
o Prepares plans and estimates for construction projects.
o Prepare and review plans, specifications, bids, contracts, and reports.
o Maintain accurate records and prepare clear and concise reports, correspondence and other written materials related to projects.
o Ensure conformity with safety standards and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS (EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS)
Qualification: A good degree in Civil Engineering or any other related area.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years professional experience in Civil Construction Engineering with at least two years in managing projects
Competence: Technical expertise in design and development of large civil projects; Competence in Community Engagements and Customer Satisfying Initiatives
