POSITION SUMMARY
Our client needs an IT & Systems Manager who can promote collaboration in all aspects of corporate information management. The IT & Systems Manager is directly responsible for developing strategies to manage information technology program and to actively forecast, plan and reengineer database management. This role leads to the establishment of state-of-the-art practice in database and IT management.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
o Directs information technology program, strategic and tactical planning, budgeting, business process re-engineering and database management system execution based on forecasting information needs of senior management and user community in general.
o Directs teams within the information technology offices and across all levels of the organization to promote collaboration in all aspects of corporate information management including strategic planning, budgeting, program implementation and performance evaluation.
o Directs the development, testing and implementation of management tools to improve performance.
o Serves as the corporate spokesperson for improving the development, sharing and use of knowledge throughout the Authority and in this capacity, is responsible for keeping senior management and the Board abreast of the state-of-the practice and state-of-the art in knowledge management.
o Manages special studies of new approaches and best practices in knowledge management and applies the results in future planning and implementation.
o Directs, manages, and evaluates performance of teams and assigned staff; coordinates performance recommendations with other appropriate supervisors and works cooperatively on labour management.
o To understand Enterprise Implementation, Database Management, Systems Administration and IT Infrastructure Management.

o Support implementation of all automation systems (ERP, Billing System) (30-90 days)
o Create Policies and Procedures to guide System and software usage addressing Access Controls,
o Data Backup and Restoration, Security (physical and Cyber)
• 90 Day Milestone
o Set up an IT Help desk to manage Software and hardware challenges
o Implement all processes and procedures with checks and balances
QUALIFICATIONS (EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS)
Qualification: Bachelor's degree in computer science and/or electrical engineering or related field; Certified ORACLE administrator; Current CCNA and/or CCDA certification; Cisco Unified Communication Manager configuration and infrastructure a plus
Experience: Five years PC LAN/WAN management work experience in an IP environment; Five years designing and installing routing, switching, and wireless products; Three years Supervisory experience
Competence: Knowledge of VoIP implementation and support; Windows Server 2003 & 2008; Exchange and/or SQL experience ; Previous experience in installation, configuration and maintenance of routers, Ethernet switches, wireless, access points, VPN concentrators, and PIX firewall devices
