Job Title: Process Control Engineer
Location: Lagos
Job Description
A Process Control Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, installing, managing and/or maintaining the equipment which is used to monitor and control engineering systems, machinery and processes.
Responsibilities
• Designing and developing new control systems.
• Testing, maintaining and modifying existing systems.
• Analyzing data and presenting findings in written reports.
• Managing Operations.
• Working collaboratively with design engineers, operation engineers, purchasers and internal staff.
• Liasing with clients, suppliers and contractors.
• Project Management within cost and time constrained environments.
• Understanding and ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and quality standards.
• Providing advice and consultancy support.
• Developing new business proposals.
Requirements
• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or related field.
• Professional certifications in related field would be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant working experience preferably in the oil and gas sector.
Key Skills and Competencies Required;
• Advanced process control (APC);
• Distributed control systems (DCS);
• Programmable logic controllers (PLC);
• Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA).
• Experience with designing, implementing and troubleshooting PLC control.
• Manufacturing process automation work experience.
