West Atlantic Shipyard(WAS) is a subsidiary of Piriou group employing 200 employees. Set on the Onne free trade zone near Port Harcourt (NIGERIA), this project repairs and maintains vessels operating in the Gulf of Guinea, as well as specific facilities in the oil industry.

Job Title: Repair Project Follow-up H/F
Type of contract: CDI
Location: Port Harcourt
Activities
Under the supervision of the technical/repair management of the shipyard, you will be in charge of the quotes for customers and economical follow up of the long technical stops for vessels under repair and related maintenance activities.
More specifically, you will be responsible for;
• Quotes and responses to tenders, especially:
• Perform technical inspection prior to quotations
• Prepare and write commercial bids before validation by the General Management
• Plan and coordinate activities linked to the technical stops; repair works and subcontractors activities, ordering, on-site services, etc.
• Controlling the financial aspects during the stop, in collaboration with the repair manager
• Preparing of invoices to be validated by the General Management at the end of the stop
• Reporting estimates, productivity, risks,
• Documenting administration related to the technical stop
• Following-up activities by organizing regular meetings
• Keeping close relationship with customers during the process, from quotation to invoicing.
Job Requirements
Skills and experience
• As a Senior technician or Engineer with a mechanical background, you have gained experience as business or project leader in the ship repair industry or in related areas of activity;
• Ideally, you have specific knowledge of the ship repair business and you are able to quote for boilers, piping, mechanical, electrical, painting, carpentry and other repair activities.
• You know the relevant technics and standards of ship repair industry.
• You are proficient in dealing with customers and you appreciate team work.
• You master project management tools and processes.
• You are fluent in English and Computer applications.
Experience: 5-10 years
Salary and working conditions:
Attractive annual salary (negotiable).
Expatriate contract with 60/60 days rotation on single status, three return airplane tickets per annum. Medical care and on site accommodation are provided.
