Job Purpose:
Each day, the bank carries out its activities written or oral evidenced in various forms, called records. It is the responsibility of the Records Management Unit officer to manage and be the custodian of all such records in line with Citi global standards and policies.
The resident Accounts Payables role involves supporting the Regional Service Centre based in Hungary. All queries and activities related to accounts payables are supposed to be reconciled/clarified on behalf of Citi Nigeria with the RSC team.
The above positions are crucial to the franchise of the bank as regulatory and reputational risks may arise out of the inadequacy or absent controls on the records management activities of the bank. Similarly, due to the dynamic Nigerian environment and her local laws it is pertinent to have an AP representative on ground that will continually provide the needed support to the processing team in Hungary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review of transactions on the Citi Travel and Expense (CTE )portal for Compliance processing
- Review Orbiflow transactions from all Nigerian branches for accuracy, completeness and onward transmission to the Regional Service Centre (RSC) team in Hungary
- Monthly local proof preparation for 26 accounts
- Initiation of Reverse Marti transactions for recoveries/payables
- Daily Nostro Account Reconciliations
- E-dealer booking on transactions exceeding or equal to USD 10,000
- Review and transmission of end of day reports emanating from the RSC to all Nigeria branches
- Management and supervision of the Records processing office
- Management and supervision of the offsite archive
- Custodianship of the Master Records Catalogue (MRC) and Records Inventory
- Regular visit to the archive to ascertain adequacy of controls
- Frequent review/sign off on all records unit registers
- Ticket reviews for adequacy of processing controls and transmission to RSC team in Hungary
- Daily purging of NGR-Register-Scan queue for bank-wide erroneous scans
- Daily reconciliation/resolution of Queries from Vendors and Employees
- Daily Reconciliations -Suspense and Interdepartmental accounts to avoid KRI breach Daily
- Interface/support roles in Designated Travel Agent (DTA) travels/hotel bookings for staff
- Reconciliation and recovery of advances (cash advances to employees)
- Supervise and timely remittance of the tax to regulators
- Reconciliation/recovery against Receivables metrics
