Essential Information
• Delivery drivers transfer goods from areas of production or pick up to personal homes and businesses.
• No formal education is required for the job, but drivers, of course, need a driver's license and a clean driving record.
• The job may include filling out papers, loading and unloading goods, and talking with customers.
• Hours can be long, and the job may be physically taxing.
• The Delivery Driver services are those who drive a van or truck, they work for a variety of businesses and deliver all types of goods and merchandise, from linens, uniforms and food to cash and furniture.
• Some drive an established route, while others drive to different locations every day.
Duties
• Collecting goods/items from a depot, warehouse or pick-up point
• Loading the vehicle in a order that matches the deliveries that you will make
• Planning the route to make sure that deliveries are made on time
• Unloading goods at the right addresses
• Getting signatures for goods and giving invoices when you deliver
• Recording mileage and the fuel that you buy
• Updating delivery records
• Returning undelivered items to your base.

• Years of experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.
