POSITION SUMMARY
Our client needs an Electrical Construction Engineer who can perform technical supervisory role on construction projects. The Electrical Construction Engineer is directly responsible for oversee the selection and requisition of materials and plant to ensure that all materials used are according to specifications. This role leads the management of infrastructural installations in construction operations.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
o Construct and augment the network as per the consumer requirement and managing the increasing system load growth.
o Perform a technical, organisational and supervisory role on construction projects, setting out and determining the location for above and underground infrastructural installations involved in construction operations.
o Acting as the main technical adviser on a construction site.
o Setting out, levelling and surveying the site (Inspection).
o Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications.
o Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials and plant.
o Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site.
o Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
QUALIFICATIONS (EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS)
Qualification: A good degree in Electrical Engineering or any other related area.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years professional experience in Electrical Construction Engineering with at least two years in managing projects
Competence: Technical expertise in design and development of large civil projects; Competence in Community Engagements and Customer Satisfying Initiatives
