Job Description
MAIN PURPOSE
To manage national wholesale services in general negotiation, contract management, implementation, new service implementation and development, financial tracking, relationship and project management.
JOB OBJECTIVES
Assist with the negotiation, implementation and management of national roaming and interworking agreements providing for voice, data, ancillary and other services. (This is to include the enhancement of current agreements and the negotiation of new agreements.)
Oversee the day-to-day operational matters pertaining to the administration, interpretation and implementation of the various agreements, and addressing the diversity of commercial, financial, technical, legal and regulatory issues arising therefrom.
Provide inputs to service/product concepts, definitions, agreements, business cases, processes and user requirement specifications relating to identified wholesale business opportunities / new services.
Liaise with internal and external partners, and ensure that sound relationships are established and maintained.
Assist with day-to-day operational matters pertaining to the implementation, administration and interpretation of the various agreements, including general revenue assurance issues.
Ensure compliance with all agreements, including revenue assurance.
Analyse and strategically assess traffic volumes, revenues and trends.
Contribute to the research and identification of new revenue earning wholesale business opportunities, including those arising from new technologies.
Contribute to the development of business cases and agreements for potentially viable new or enhancement opportunities.
Contribute to relevant industry and regulatory policies and frameworks.
Initiate projects and, facilitate and lead cross-functional teams and meetings, both internal and external towards service implementation.
Cooperate with the retail side of the business to ensure wholesale and retail service synergies where appropriate.
Cross – functional cooperation with the Finance, Billing, Legal, Regulatory and Operational side of the business towards service implementation.
Participate, where appropriate, in GSM and Vodafone working groups on aspects related to interworking and implementation of new initiatives.
When requested, assist Vodacom’s African Opcos with relevant aspects of the foregoing.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Matric and a 3-year bachelor’s degree or national diploma in business, commerce, law, finance or engineering *essential*
A higher degree or an MBA (desirable).
5 to 8 years experience relevant to the job objectives and outputs.
